Condemn Channel 4 TV’s anti-Sri Lanka campaign as biased and a disgrace to British media

Over 2000 British Sri Lankans of different ethnicities and political hues met in London in Sunday evening to stage a massive demonstration against the Channel 4 TV, which at present is going around the world with a “documentary”, named “Sri Lanka’s Killing Fields”.
The protesters condemned the controversial documentary as malicious and accused the Channel 4 TV of inciting racial hatred between Sri Lankan communities in the UK, including the younger generations, and thereby playing into the hands of separatist forces operational outside Sri Lanka. They shouted slogans charging that the Channel 4 TV is engaged in a well-orchestrated campaign to vilify Sri Lanka. Many participants had their own stories of the damage caused to the image of the country by this Channel 4 documentary, and how it has affected their friendships with members of other communities. They expressed outrage that the film lacked any sense of balance or objectivity.
The protesters also questioned the integrity of some Channel 4 journalists whose personal grudges against Sri Lanka are on record, and urged the British law enforcement authorities to keep an eye on the money flows behind such large-scale media operations, particularly at a time when the British media is shaken by despicable incidents of unethical journalism.
Waving Sri Lankan and British flags the protesters displayed many banners urging the Channel 4 TV not to abuse media freedom in Britain in such a biased manner. They denounced the Channel 4 TV’s style of journalism – collating video and still frames posted in pro-LTTE websites to form “a documentary” and presenting them to a largely an unsuspecting audience using a female LTTE activist to narrate, with no evidence in support of her own emotion-stirring claims. The protesters questioned the Channel 4 TV as to why it did not see the fact that the very army it accuses of killing civilians has sacrificed the lives of its own members to save about 300, 000 civilians trapped by the LTTE terrorists. They accused the Channel 4 TV of acting according to a script to fit a pre-meditated agenda citing Channel 4 TV has disregarded even the fact that the army did not kill but captured more than 11, 000 LTTE cadres alive.
The demonstration was held in front of the Channel 4 TV station in London, and leaflets were distributed to many by-passers. In s solid show of unity the protesters weathered intermittent but heavy rains for full four hours. – Sri Lankans in the UK

The high offices in UK need to wake up from their deep sleep to check what is going on with Channel 4 morons who pretend as “investigative journalists” when they don’t have a clue what it means.

C4 had been bought by diaspora LTTE/Tamil millions collected by force from diaspora Tamils and by fraud, to show the documentary repeatedly.
Isn’t it time that Hon MR order a documentary in reply titled, “The Killing Fields of LTTE”? There is more than ample factual video evidence gathered from LTTE command bunkers from Killing-nochchi during the final “Humanitarian Operation” by the SL defence forces to save the 300,000+ Tamil hostages of VP and the LTTE. The LTTE is notorious for having meticulously recorded on video all their evil deeds in every sordid detail, for VP to glorify himself in one day, hoping for the ultimate victory and conquest of the whole of SL for his pipe-dream eelam raj. Such video evidence should not be relegated to the dustbin of history nor to be left to decay in some shelf in an army base.
I fail to see why Hon MR or Hon GR has failed to give the green light for such a compelling documentary to be made with factual evidence from LTTE sources themselves to shut once and for all the mouths of the diaspora LTTE/Tamils. It would clean the tarnished image of SL so urgently needed.
As for the C4 documentary, the facts are it was made by the diaspora LTTE themselves with images pieced together of LTTE killings of captured SL army soldiers, whose uniforms were removed and worn by their LTTE captors/killers, as they staged for the cameras the horrendous killings. This is evident from the Tamil voices in the background giving instructions to the killers (LTTE). These Tamil voices were dubbed over by the documentary narrative. How wicked and farcical of the LTTE and the diaspora Tamils!

Non Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan aka Col Karuna, Minister in the Cabinet appointed HE Mahinda Rajapaksa aired similar thoughts a couple of days ago.
He was a step ahead of Comrade Nicholas, suggesting specific incidents such as the Dalada Maligawa bombing, the Arantalawa massacre etc be included in the video.
The Minister apparently has personal knowledge of these incidents having maybe participated in them from a distance when he was on the other side of the fence.
Never mind, we have already forgiven him; he is cleansed of his sins and is now almost a patriot.
Nicholas, a better idea will be to get Cabinet Minister Muralitharan and Cabinet Minister Mervyn Silva to star in these videos. Also suggest we add other stars like Gen Shavendra Silva, Ambassador Palitha Kohonna, Ambassador Dayan Jayatilleke, Hon Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, PA to the UNSG Vijay Nambiar and also appeal to the Prisons Commissioner to make available Retd Gen Sarath Fonseka on a part time basis.
The videos then will become a reality show.

we are talking about factual video evidence of the LTTE of their wanton killings of innocent Sinhalese and Muslim civilians in genocide, which lies stockpiled relegated to the dustbin of history. Hon MR through his stupidity does not want VP’s library of such LTTE killings/genocide to be released, to make a documentary about the polpot style murders, the thirty years of LTTE progroms against the Sinhalese and Muslim civilians, by the rabid Tamil evil psychopathic Velupillai P, through misguided belief that it will stir-up racial hatred again. This is cras stupidity! Truth has to be told. It should not be swept under the carpet. The Tamil people themselves must be told how evil LTTE had been and it should never be repeated. They would then not be misled ever again by the extremist likes of VP. The evil crimes of Hiler is told and re-told with factual video evidence from Nazi film libraries. This is so that the world and the German people may never forget the evil that Hitler committed. In like manner, the evil that VP committed should never be forgotten but told to the whole world, over and over again, so that the evil Tamil extemism and militarism may never raise its ugly head again. MR is wrong in thinking it will stir-up racial conflict again and is best forgotten. I beg to differ. It is keeping it in the limelight and exposing the evil crimes of VP, like that of other evil men such as Stalin, Hitler and Pol Pot, that would prevent eelam cries for autonomy ever happening again. The world will be on the side of SL then once the truth is told.
