Hot on the heels of the general election which ended at 4.00 p.m. President Maitripala Sisrisena, in a further attempt to wrest control of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) party, is reported to have expelled 13 of its Central Committee (CC) members and replaced them by a new set of members.
Reportedly the new appointments had been made under the signature of newly-appointed General Secretary Duminda Dissanayake who replaced former SLFP general secretary Anura Priyadarshana Yapa.

You call yourself a President, you want to rule the country by just sacking your members because they refused to dance to your music which you play out of tune. This shows that your defeat in a few hours will be confirmed by the people of Sri lanka.
Well done Honorable President. You have to be very tough when you are the President of Sri Lanka. We thought you were lacking that. Media freedom is OK. But ban the people who are writing false information to sell their papers. I live in Sydney. Hats off for the peaceful General Election. Wish you all the best for the coming years.
There are many LTTE members can write changing to Sinhala names as Roshan Jayasekera. But pls. understand, this is not Maitreepala’s country.
This is a Sinhalese country, majority. It is a curse that major Sinhalese voters elected this bastard Maithree. Maithree, what is your gender? Pls. show it to India and western world.
MY3 sucks; he’s ruined the legacy of SWRD who stood against minority control.
The results announced d so far indicate a Ranil Yugaya where Arjuna Mahendram’s son-in-law will be dominant.
Will the so called crack down for corruption continue? Will the feared FCID be given constitutional or legislative status?
We are as a nation, at the crossroads. I hope MR will withdraw his concession and await the command of MY3. Despite losing powers in the 19th amendment, MY3 still remains all powerful
