30 school kids injured after bus falls of precipice

Thirty school children were injured in an accident which took place in the Batawanguwa area on the Kegalle-Kurunegala main road this morning (June 14), police stated.
The accident occurred at 6.40am when the school bus they had been traveling in had skidded off the road after crashing into another vehicle and had subsequently fallen off a precipice, the Kegalle Police said.
The 30 students and the bus driver who were injured in the accident were taken to the Kegalle hospital for treatment.
The Kegalle police will conduct further inquiries into the incident.
