40 Lorries into CAA custody

Forty Lorries taken into custody by the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) officers this morning at Hanwella and Peliyagoda for transporting vegetables and fruits without using plastic containers, Consumer Affairs Authority officials said.
They said legal action would be taken against these owners soon. The CAA official launched an operation to track down vehicles transporting vegetables and fruits using plastic containers since last night (SJ)
