April 15th a public holiday

Home Affairs Minister Vajira Abeywardena has declared April 15th Friday as national holiday due to the Sinhala and Tamil New Year celebrations which falls on April 13 and 14.

Why not make it from 15 to 30 Th of April or for ever. As where as work is concerned in Sri Lanka , (specially in the government run departments) no body will notice the difference.

The Government and also private sector can shut down forever and there will be no impact on the masses.
Only work in SL is kommis earning, drug peddling, alcohol and prostitution and night clubs.
The Sena-Singhe Government is similar to previous family ruled Government.
The common people have no way to make a decent living; only opportunity for mothers and daughters is to become slaves to Oil Shieks; only opportunity for young men is to become labourers and truck drivers in the Middle East.
The rich are becoming super rich while elected representatives in Parliament and Councils are howling from the bottom of their bellies helping kommis karayas and drug barons and kassippu vendors have a filed day.
Once a proud exporter of tea, rubber and coconut, today the main export are servants to the middle east and Korea.
Only growing industries growing in Sri Lanka is drugs, corruption, bribery , fraud and corruption.
