O Dear Comrades of the most respected Diaspora of the Global Tamil Community,
Tchk , tchk this is becoming too unpalatable and a bitter pill to thrust down the throats of our gullible supporters of our Yahapalanaya Government . You are putting Our Most benevolent Maithri-Ranil combo into grave difficult position of ‘ No Mouth Answer ‘ to the general public. Earlier when our deposed leader was threatened and the chief incumbent priest was assaulted in your country none of the higher ups did spring into action because we are supposed to follow ‘hand in glove ‘ policy with you to smash up the Rajapaksa and his clan. In fact no one from the Maha Nayakas took any notice of the incident as well.
But this O Dear Comrades cannot be swept under the carpet . You have dragged a Moslem Country into the affair and we just cannot think of our existence without their support.
Therefore Dear Brothers and sisters of the Diaspora of high Fame and Praise , do please forgive us and save us from unholy incidents of this nature in future
Dear AUJ,
Your glove in cheek comments add a bad taste to the mouth.
The Tamil speaking population do not care who it is or where they are coming form or which nation it is.
In our eyes all are equal. Equal all are in the eyes of the law, too.
This HC in KL is stupid to have confronted a mob without proper protection. If he was visiting the airport, he should have adequate security detail specially in view on incidents in recent days.
The security breach actually refelects badly on the professionalism of the HC. Maybe, he was a ‘thugga’ in his past life, ready to face any threat !!..
Remember when Tamil Diaspora attacked and ransacked the Sri Lanka mission in Oslo? This is a similar incident. However, here the attackers have been identified and and their photos are being circulating in social media. Under diplomatic code, foreign missions should be protected by the host government. Has Sri Lanka made any official protest. Has the Malaysian ambassador in Colombo summoned to the foreign ministry and informed about the displeasure of Sri Lankan government? Have Ranil, MY3 & Managala given any statement? Unfortunately not so far. If this go unheeded I am afraid it is going to have a domino effect. Yaha Palanaya has to expect similar incidents occurring in USA, Norway, Canada, UK, France, Australia & Germany. Sri Lanka has lost its pride, we have been humiliated and become a laughing stock.
This Malayasian HC went to the KL Airport to farewell Hon Dinesh Gunawardane, who was not a member of SL’s official team to the International Conference of Asian Political Parties.
He failed to institute adequate protection in view of recent incidents in KL.
This is the problem in having stupid political catchers (the HC was appointed in 2013 my MR1 Govt) in diplomatic positions.
Come on Mr. J. Ratnasiri, Protection of a Diplomat is the duty of the host government. Besides there are CCTV cameras in an Airport 24/7. 98% of all Diplomatic appointments are political appointments.
Oh this is a premeditated action from our good man mahinda and co.
its time we changed all staff who were appointed to diplomatic missions around the world who were appointed with the blessings of politicians and replaced with qualified experienced Gentleman
Amarakoon,
Why should the Malaysian taxpayer provide security to a thug, appointed as High Commissioner by a pariah state?
The other thing is why should Siri Lanka have diplomatic representation in Malaysia? The trade ties are extremely weak and our HC’s have done nothing over there in many decades.
Strange, we always appoint a Thambiya as Malaysian HC. Following Mr Ansar, whose term ends in a couple of weeks, will be the former mayor of Colombo, Muzzamil.
I am sure these guys create their own trade networks with their brothers in Malaysia at the expense of the amude-wearing taxpayer of Sri Lanka.
Mr. J. Ratnasiri, When you appoint an Ambassordor to a foreign country wheather he/she is a Thug/Muslim/Sinhala/Tamil/Wadda/a/Burger the host country has to protect the person as a diplomat. Just forget his diplomatic status can an ordinery person be assaulted in side an Airport? Where is law and order in Malaysia? Interesting how use the word ‘PARAYA” tel me whether Sri Lanka is still a PARAYA state after 9 January 2016? You stated that SL always appoint a Thambiya as Malaysian HC. Well Sri Lanka always do that. See the ME countries. Most of the SL Ambassadors are Muslims. Go to any SL mission you will more Muslims there because When Late Hamed was appointed as Minister of Foreign affairs by then UNP government he filled SL foreign missions with Muslims.
