Laws of the nation should be changed, forthwith, that if these accusations are found true, then he should be succumbed to a P-section surgery prior to either death by hanging or a life sentence that he will never come out of!
There are politicians attached to this person, hence this will not have any fair trial. Whole country law is under political influences. Current government will never do anything, also you don’t expect them to dissolve or end their term in near or far future. God bless you all lankans!
There will be an avalanche of complaints against any Doctor if avenues for registering complaints are available to patients.
The treatment of human ailments is a fine science which requires education and training, experience, peer guidance, professionalism and finally much thought, analytics and time and effort.
In our ‘man eat dog’ society where personal wealth and possessions dominate every other facet of life, professions such as Doctors, Lawyer, Engineers etc are viewed as instruments for gathering wealth.
Mr. Fiery Fernando, Looking at Sri Lanka’s history regarding addressing complaints made by patients pertaining to medical negligence how many you come across? None isn’t it. Our Medical professionals never make mistakes. They protect themselves. You are talking about ‘avalanche’ of complaints against any doctor! This is not ‘any doc’ but a certain doctor performed 7,000 odd T-section surgeries and women failed to conceive after that. Are we dumb asses in Sri Lanka not to take this seriously and make credible investigation? This amounts to a Genocide isn’t it? This is also a gross violation of Human rights. You do not have to prove 7,000 odd cases. One case is sufficient. There are Women right groups, NGOs taking matters to Geneva. Why they are silent?
When some people started questioning the veracity of the news, they were put to silence by an academic attached to the Medical Faculty of the Rajarata University. He publicly opined that when caesarean operations are performed by a specialist gynaecologist, he could surreptitiously damage the fallopian tubes of the woman making her permanently sterile. This academic was a lecturer in pharmacology and not in gynaecology, but since he was a university don, his voice gave credence to the vague news already created for consumption of gullible people.
