Drive with one hand and lose your licence

The Private Transport Minister told Parliament yesterday that steps would be taken to cancel the driving licences of those who drive with one hand on the steering.
Minister C. B. Ratnayake said driving with one hand on the steering was an office under motor traffic laws, but a large number of drivers violated this law, as most of them use mobile phones while driving. Mr. Ratnayake said the police have been advised to strictly enforce these laws.
He said the same would apply to those who ride motor bikes without their helmets. βSome wear helmets only when they ride past a policeman,” he said.

If C B Ratnayake were to drive a manual car – he would next need to wonder how to change the gears if both hands are to be kept on the wheel…. π π π
maybe he thinks we should use the left leg!!!
Thst’s no issue; recently, on my return from a diplmatic assignment, I was provided witha limousine for the trip from Airport to Home.
The driver held a mobile phone to his ear with his right hand right through the journey. He steered the manual drive car with his left hand, jumping at lightning speed from the weheel to the gear knob !!
The car lurched through the lanes in the highway but he got me home in one piece. I tipped him generously for his valiant efforts.
May be he has extra hand to change his gear.
the salaries those are given to the traffic police patrol are not enough, so the ministry decided find ur own way by demanding the drivers ” if you are not happy giving bribe Rs. 1000.00 for single hand driving then face the court ” they threaten this way only.
for the public safety these are cheating.
Iam sure 200% benefit for the police by taking bride not for publics.
Ministers who are in the cabinet are modayo.!!!
