Embilipitiya PS chairman remanded

The Chairman of the Embilipitiya Pradeshiya Sabha, M.K. Amila who surrendered to courts today for allegedly assaulting two police officers was remanded until June 12.
The PS chairman had been absconding for nearly a week after assaulting two Constables attached to the Panamura Police Station.
However, he surrender to the Embilipitiya Magistrate’s Court through a lawyer this morning.
