The price revision was effective from midnight yesterday.
The Cabinet decided to reduce prices giving consent to a Cabinet paper submitted by Minister Susil Premajayantha seeking a revision of fuel and kerosene prices in Jaffna peninsula.
Fuel and kerosene prices would now be on par with that in most other parts of the country. The prices in Jaffna were higher earlier mainly due to the higher transport cost. RS
