“Some are holding on to Lamborghinis and voicing their protest. If my children take up motor racing I would also buy them Lamborghinis and I, too, would use one,” he said, commenting on the reduction of the duty on racing cars in the Budget.
Speaking at a tree planting ceremony in Kiribathgoda yesterday, the minister compared President Mahinda Rajapaksa to Abraham Lincoln, Lenin, Karl Marx, Gandhi, and Mao Zedong. He said he was a leader who had sparked a renaissance, and whom the country needed as its leader.

He is a real mad man in the GOSL. No one say even they buy and give a pencil to a poor student. what a Minister… how he earning the money??? ohhh… he still having the leadership in underworld gang no????
This individual and a few other’s have corrupted this govt and making it unpopular. The ordinary people who form the majority are suffering while these corrupt men are enjoying themselves through corrupt gains. MR have lost control. His own sons are living like princes. Where is there sense of morality and duty to the nation who put elected them for a fair govt? I weep for the nation.
HE Mahinda Rajapaksa recently said he wants a decent country with disciplined nation , if not no meaning of the development. He says also he respects to sovereignty of the judical system. He is in deed a hypocritical person.
Why PA politicians can propose impeachment against Mervin ? But for Mrs.Sirani Bandarabayaka. We know she is not perfect. Her husband got the job in NSB. But impeachment is a revenge and clearing path for biased judicial decisions in future.
This is the way how this ministers are enjoying their life on the money of grass root level people in the state. We wish the president and the regime may make the community be rest in peace…..! with more and more imposition of tax upon the poor people……! All the best of luck….!
i believe none of the country man would like to here these type of silly talk from a minister. i am so sorry about my country people. plese i beg you all to stand against this man and save the country. believe yourselves and deport him from the country.

This man is a very bad example and reveals his nudity whenever he utters something withouy any sense of responsibility. He has also mentioned that he is now engaged in making babies. All what he utters and all what he does will apportion to the the President and his government. This type of stupid ministers do more harm than any good to the country. There is a word for this type of people. JESTER but I think CLOWN is a better word. Do we need them in the cabinet?
Minister Mervin Silva has become a millionaire without any lawful earnings. It is true that Mervin Silva and the Rajapakses for whom these cars are imported without any taxes are capable of buying not a single but dozens of those cars. Unfortunately even such corruption cannot be brought before courts against certain sections of the society due to the JR Jayewardene constitution, Venerable Mahanayaka Theros have alreay protested when they were put on public roads in Kandy.
Being as a minister and getting government salary , how can he afford to by luxury items?

This man from my area (Tangalle) is a disgrace not only to the community he belongs but definitely to the entire nation as well.He was deported from this area and soon will get a well deserved kick out from Kelaniya very soon.
I am surprised why Mr.President keep his mouth closed. I think Mr.President can’t open his mouth, bacause Dr.Mervin Silva knows each and every badthing that President has done.
