Shame on those who called for Mr Gothabhaya Rajapaksa’s removal over the failure to arrest Julampitiya Amare. The efficient sleuths of SL’s Police Force have acted quickly in response to the incident and got the suspect behind bars. After all, he is only a suspect and Julampitiya Amare is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Hon Mangala Samaraweera should retract his statement and apologise to our leader, the Defence Secretary, Gothabhaya Rajapaksa. With traitors making so much noise within our land, no wonder white supremacists are gunning for the Rajapaksa family to be charged for human rights violation in the ICC, The Hague.
This criminal called Amare is not in the custody of the courts not because the police is efficient. It is because
somebody could delay the arrest. Thanks to the section of the free press for protesting.Nobody should retract any statement. But certain media advisers should immediately resign.
