Kolonnawa could turn into a battlefield – Hirunika
The entire Kolonnawara area would be turned into a battlefield unless MP Duminda Silva is arrested at the airport upon arrival his in the country, said Hirunika Premachandra, daughter of the late Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra, yesterday.
Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra was killed in a shooting incident in October last year. Mr. Silva is an accused in the case. At present he is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Singapore.
Miss Premachandra said that Mr. Silva should be arrested at the airport if he arrives. Otherwise, she said, it would set off yet another war in Kolonnawa.
Referring to a recent Bodhi Pooja conducted to invoke blessings on MP Duminda Silva, she said that it was possibly the first instance of an accused in a criminal case being blessed.

Hon Duminda Silva is indeed a handsome guy. It’s difficult for a lass to collar him as a husband unless she has exceptional talent. Some do try unorthodox means to collar him but efforts are fruitless.
Hon D Silva is a supervisng MP of the Defence Mistry. Our thoughts are with him for a speedy return following the unfortunate incidents in which Bharatha Premachandra lost his life.
If she wants him to get arrested, rather than threatening create a battlefield and cause mayham in everybody’s life go and make a complain to the police. They have to respond to that or answer in a court or so when the situation arise, why they have not done anything about it.
In my personnel openion Duminda Silva will not be arrested upon his arrival. Because now Sri Lanka judiciary is in the hands of executive president and his brother Basil Rajapaksa. I hope Sri Lanka should not become like Tunisia, Libya, Yemen or Syria.

I have great respect for MR for defeating he LTTE and giving our people a country that they can walk about free and also his vision and planning towards the development of SL. How ever I am shocked that people like Duminda and Mirvin are allowed in Parliment instead of behind bars.
Such peole in power makes SL a laughing stock. I wonder what powers these rowdies have that they have become untouchables.
Dear Hirunika
We sympathise with you but by issuing threats to powers that be to arrest Kudu Duminda you will only make matters worse and even put your own life and lives of your supporters at risk. Your own father, I am sure, will not want you to do this but to put this all behind you and move on in life.
It is best to find justice through the courts. Justice cannot be denied to you and your beloved father. Please do not talk in terms of ‘war’ and ‘battles’ and ‘bloodshed’. Only thugs and villainous politicians use such language. Do you want to sink to their level and degrade yourself? Are you contesting a seat in the parliament to serve the electorate or your own petty interests and to seek revenge? You will end up dead yourself along with a few of your misguided supporters. So please refrain from seeking revenge but seek justice through the courts however long it takes.
Dear Hirunika,
Hon Duminda Silva cannot be arrested. He is a protected species.
Quite right Chandani; I go another step in classifying Duminda as national treasure. Forgiveness is a virtue.
From Singapore to high security in Welikada?? Can’t imagine that. The guy is likely to get a heart attack.
C’mon Hirumika, as Blogger 1 says, collar the guy at the airport when he arrives. If not, a prettier and more fortunate damsel will pluck him away for ever. Time you setlled down little girl and Duminda offers a whole new world to you.
