There is no image of a lion anymore. Why? Because the lion is caged. These notes don’t have lions. It only contains an owl, says Dayasiri Jayasekara.
A public meeting organized by the UNP was held in the Galthenwewa in the Yapahuwa electorate yesterday.
Parliamentarian Dayasiri Jayasekara expressed these views at the occasion.
“They have now printed Rs. 5,000 notes. Previously the image of the lion was evident. But it’s not so now. Now we have to pay Rs. 500, 1000 and 5000 to make purchases. There is no image of a lion anymore. Why? Because the lion is caged. These notes don’t have lions. It only contains an owl,” said Dayasiri Jayasekara, UNP.

The days that UNP had lions were long gone. There are only rats and vermin in UNP now. People detest them. They want to kill and get rid of them for good in Mother Lanka.
Down with the traitors who time and again betrayed Mother Lanka to our enemies the LTTE and the imperial West! Death to the traitors!
..hah hah.. So they knw tht they’re like owls..! Tht’s not bad, knowing abt themselves.!
Psst.. Psst! Don’t scream. Your (UNP’s) western masters will hear and will complain to UN that Sri Lankans are looking for Lion symbol on currency notes and is a discrimination on tamils. Keep it quiet. Owl is OK, because you all are (UNPiers) owls anyway.
Perhaps UNP is unhappy that ‘aliya’ was not used in the Rs 5000 note.
Their aliya has deserted them. There are only rats, nariyas and gonubillas now in their party. They will all kill each other off in their in-fighting.
Their leader, the traitor, is meanwhile gallavanting the imperial West, during the local elections, to seek their help against government of MR, which he finds too strong to displace for many years to come. He is hoping for a miracle in the form of imperial West intervention through bogus allegations of so-called ‘war crimes’, through UNSG, the puppet of the imperial West.
