He further said that locally manufactured goods will be promoted while ensuring that individuals with requisite qualifications will obtain suitable employment.
”A common law will be applicable to all while respecting and addressing issues of all communities,” he added. Senanayake also said that the education system for the youth will be developed in order to tackle the youth unemployment issue.
He said that he had to leave the country and seek foreign employment in 2010 due to several accusations that had arisen against him, adding that several additional allegations have been made against him following his decision to appear as a Presidential candidate. “I will appear before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption and testify if the need arises,” he added.

Good on you, Mr Senanayake,
Unfortunately, you were the Army Commander during the Easter Sunday incident.
Your Boss (the Defence Minster, the King) and you, ignored credible intelligence messages and failed to act to prevent the deaths of >250 SL Citizens.
Your are OK but your IQ is on the lower side.
Definitely will not be voting for you.
This is a millennial viewpoint.
Well, now we heard this from the mouth of the horse. Civil Sciety means NGOs. This is the same establishments helped Yaha Palanaya to come to power. So, the same Organizations helping the General. Civil Society organizations do not to business and they are not profit erning entities. How they can help the General without money? Where the money coming from? This is food for thought.
This is not what should have happened.
You should have gathered all professionals and attached with GOTA. Because you will not able to get the majority at this situation. Instead you should request to get few ministerial posts.People need brains, and political power as well. When you are completely new you can drive the ship without any shakes.
Its good to try but not at this moment.
