It is no secret that many a young man got hooked on cocaine when he became a “tent dweller” at Aragalaya GalleFace as there was that group of kudu-karayas (dealers at that, who loathed Gota for cracking down on them with a sledge-hammer at that) that were aligned with various fringe political parties, student unions, etc.s (and we all know who they are now as media reports are plenty about such) and it was reported that in that merry-go-around “Aragalaya gamas” there were enough ganja and cocaine being distributed to one and all, just for the asking as the cops were nowhere to be found and many a Aragalaya leader were high on such narcotics thinking that they were the kings ruling SL. Alas, now it would not be a surprise to find some innocent, misguided youth succumbing to OD’ing on cocaine and dying.
What an idiot. If there were so much drugs going around openly, in a area where there was constant police and military surveillance, why weren’t people arrested and these drugs confiscated? The people aren’t stupid… We can see what is happening… 3 hound males dead, washing up along the shore near Colombo within close proximity to the protest site, just a few days after the government used the military to BRUTALLY beat up SLEEPING protestors under the cover of the dark ESS of night? I think we can put 2 and 2 together…
@ Damian – Looks like you are the star-studded idiot here or may be you are that and also an ‘aragalaya’ insurgent, judging by your apology for them. Do not talk rubbish here saying there was a “constant police and military surveillance” because although that maybe now, prior to RW ordering eviction of the prez secretariat bldg (after giving 4 previous deadlines), there was absolutely no such interference from any of the security forces. Indeed, we all have seen videos footage of how these long-haired, pony-tailed, unshaven with gross beards, violent creeps were chasing away the police from Galle Face and how the cops were meekly walking away. Besides, if there was all that police and army presence as a common feature throughout and it was effective, how is it that over 70 homes belonging to ‘govt supporters’ were looted and burnt and even some killed, including a govt MP? Just mere feet away from Galle Face these violent thugs/druggies raided the Prez’s official residence, occupied whole lot of other govt buildings and even had all the freedom to burn RW’s personal house to the ground! So much for your “constant police and military surveillance” !!! The fact is Gota was acting like a powerless eunuch by steadfastly refusing to order security forces to crackdown on these violent scumbags, something which in the end made him also flee the country! Well, yes, now things are different as we new sheriff in town! Bravo, onward Sri Lanka!
