Maximum retail price for imported big onions declared

The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has set a maximum retail price for imported big onions.
Accordingly, the maximum price of 1 Kg of imported big onions is Rs. 190.00.
The price control will come into effect from tomorrow (23).

The Price of big onions Mr Mahinda Rajapaksa showed at his political meeting was Rs 160/= what he said was that when they come to power they would increase the price to Rs 190 /= which would be sold in the open market at Rs 450/= .This the people did not understand properly and they voted them to power.
