Here we go again.
The Chinese built Norracholai Plant is a piece of unreliable junk.
The komis karayas who procured this junk are denying wealth including luxury mansions in Malwana, the Rambuttan Country, while the citizenry is undergoing misery as a result of misdeeds and corruption of MR1.
The boss of MR2 is, of course, on their side protecting them.
as stated by me yesterday this could easily have been avoided by having a differential line protection for then for any external fault the unit transformer feeding the auxiliaries would not trip , even for the 50 Mw oil fired steam plant at kelanitissa there was differential line protection and there was no problem in taking full load within a hour of such tripping why not for 300 Mw sets. Also what is not stated is that the coal fueled electricity cost only Rs 5 per kWh while a 300 Mw set at kerawalapitiya running on Auto diesel cost about Rs 26 also there is about another 1000 Mw running on auto diesel which cost Rs. 26 per kWh which could easily have prevented this power cut it is save money and also to hide the fact that coal fueled electricity is the cheapest form of electricity in the which the present power ministry has decided to replace it with solar which may cost over Rs. 100 per kWh they do not care what happens to us the people as long as they get their commissions Please appoint a panel from the institution of engineers to make recommendations to remedy this problem for good
So what is our so called stupid engineers going to about this. Os this a simple task for them and are they involve in more sophisticated task lime road sweeping and cleaning toilets in develop countries.
