Muslim marriage law in Sri Lanka to be amended

The Muslim Marriage Law in Sri Lanka will be amended, said Justice Minister Ali Sabry in Parliament on Wednesday (06).
Speaking in Parliament, Minister Sabry said the minimum age for marriage for Muslims will be increased to 18, with the intent of ending underage girls from entering into marriage.
He stressed there is no debate surrounding the matter at present, stressing therefore it must and will be carried out.
