Nandimithra Ekanayake to support Maithripala

Deputy Minister of Higher Education and UPFA Matale district MP Nandimithra Ekanayake has pledged support to Opposition Common Candidate Maithripala Sirisena at the forthcoming presidential election.
Mr. Ekanayake announced this decision addressing a press conference organized by former President Chandrika Kumaratunga at her residence.

It appears things not looking too good in the home electorate so why not jump ship to keep things going.
It is plainly obvious to any student of SL politics that the defectors are not going to be the decision makers in the forthcoming elections. These defectors are under the false impression that they carry voting blocks along with them wherever they go. This attitude is similar to tribal chieftains and warlords in roaming desert tribes.
The Sri lankan voter clearly identifies these rudderless drifters, UPFA one day, UNP the other day and don’t know where they will be the following day. Only one thing matters to these driftiers and that is the personal benefit they get by aligning with power blocks. Those liquor licences and ethnol licences are valuable income generators, aren’t they?
At the next parliamentary elections under the new UPFA government, the voters will show these stupid drifters, the exit door which opens only one way.
