One person killed following shooting in Chilaw

One person was killed following a shooting during a demonstration by fishermen in Chilaw town a short while ago, Chilaw hospital sources stated.
The Army Spokesman stated that the army was not involved in controlling the protesters and that the police were responsible for controlling the demonstration.
