Police arrest suspect in Haliela journalist assault

Badulla Police today (24) arrested Amila Sandaruwan who is suspected of assaulting a journalist from the Sirasa media during the recent infamous incident of post-election violence in Haliela, Badulla.
Sirasa journalist, Kapila Chandana who was covering the incident at the time was pelted with stones by Sandaruwan, who is the son of 32-years-old, Kalu Ari.
Badulla Police are conducting further investigations.
