Pornography material from SriLanka Mirror computers – CID

The CID today informed the Colombo Magistrate Court that they have found Pornography materials from at least three computers that were taken into police custody from the Sri Lankamirror office.
They also informed that it was a violation of the Obscene Publication Act. The CID made this statement when the case on Sri Lankamirror was taken up at the Colombo Magistrate Court. The Magistrate also ordered the CID to release the computers that were taken from the Sri Lankamirror office once the inquiry is over.

I am shocked by this revelation. Pornography in a journalist’s computer is intolerable. Journalists are mouthpieces of society and their conduct, similar to that of teachers, should demonstrate high moral behaviour.
No wonder, a disgusted Secreatary to an important government institution, threatended to treat journalists with porcine excreta. I understand that man’s frustrations.
I am happy that Anoama has the wisdom and courage to condemn anti social atrocites committed by the so called owners of the Fourth Estate,the self proclaimed guardians of the most holy sanctity of human values and virtues.I
