Hey Sanga you deserve it man. You are our hero and more over thank god for not offered any ministerial posts in the local as those apparently belongs to these cheap bastards un educated fellows. You are a great gentleman. All the glitters are not gold but we found a glitterer in our mother land.
Please accept it as a honour by our president and behalf of our nation.
Someone made a goat of himself with this public offering of a prestigious and critical diplomatic posting to a person most unsuitable for that position.
Kumar Sangakkara is a legend; his exemplary commitment to the game of cricket is an example to all generations, young and old, not only in Sri Lanka but all over the world.
Kumar Sangakkara is a sportsman par excellence; he reached the heights which we all aspire to reach in our lives, in what we do.
Kumar Sangakkara retires from the game on his own volition; he has shown that when it is time to go, it is time to go.
Kumar Sangakkara will chase his passion further in his retirement. One way would be to set-up a Kumar Sangakkara School of cricket in every province of Sri Lanka reaching out to the young and aspiring players in the remotest corners of the island. This will contribute to talent identification that will lead to a stronger cricketing nation.
Thank you Kumar, for your wonderfully inspiring career; you will be in our hearts all along. Your speech at the farewell function was most exemplary reflecting the core of your persona. It surpassed the speeches of the political leaders who were present some who had never been to a cricket match all their lives.
Pursue your passion Kumar as always and let the bleating goat, bleat to its heart’s content.
Becareful Kumar, this government is trying to make use of your world class popularity. Please help the young Sri Lankans one day to be like you. UK is a stronghold of the Tamil diaspora, dont get involved in dirty Sri Lankan politics. You made your name in a honest way. God bless you.
