Proposal to raise treasury bills debt ceiling defeated

A proposal that was presented in Parliament today to raise the Governments treasury bill debt ceiling by 400 million rupees was defeated.
At the vote held at the end of the debate 31 votes were cast in favor of the proposal while 51 votes were cast against it.

Wow ! yahapalanaya (or gawa palanaya) has become so expensive ! It wasn’t this expensive when that “so called” corrupt regime was in power !
I wonder why USA and UK who were the main conspirators for the regime change is looking away leaving their obedient bunch of cows helpless at this difficult time.
Looks like short sighted Sri Lankans have bought “Chillies” after trading-in “Ginger”.
Govt. proposal has failed. Who cares? Anyone or the govt. to resign? This is YAHAPALANAYA.
What else can be expected of a leader of a minority govt. run with the explicit support of a group of opposition party member bent on making hay while the sun shines.
