This is height of impunity. The learned Dr Balasuriya is rewarded with a diplomatic posting while late Roshen lies six feet below the ground.
What happened to the report of the one man commissioner on the cruel death of of late Roshen? Gathering dust in the shelevs at Temple Trees?
Dr Balasuriya is a scholar; where is his learning? As a servant of the people, he was powerless. Instructions from strogmen flew over his head. But as a taxpayer, I demand justice; justice for the poor worker who lost his life demonstrating for a worthy cause affecting millions of workers. Dr Balasuriya’s bullet snatched away a young life and Dr Balasuriya is rewarded with a diplomatic posting in Brazil where he will probably masturbate while watching the carnival in Rio.
Dr B should be sued by the citizenry for having been ineffective in discharging the trust taxpayers of Sri Lanka had endowed in his role as IGP.
Poor Roshen will sigh in his cold grave while Dr B voyeurs on wiggly brown bottoms in the streets of Rio.
This IGP is a shameless fellow without a backbone. Nicolas Dias what is ur comment
The former IGP did not order the shooting of the rioters led by JVP traitors. JVP are responsible for Roshen’s death.
Police were not well trained nor equipped with protective gear, as in the West, on how to control riots. Don’t forget how the British police killed several rioters in the recent years despite their training.
Nicholas dias you are good for politics. Did JVP shoot Roshen
If the former IGP, Dr B, did not order the shooting of workers demonstrating for a worthy cause, why did he opt to prematurely retire and run away like a coward?
Dr B should have stood his ground, conducted a comprehensive enquiry into the incident, rehabilitate the wrong-doers and transferred the learnings from the incident to the entire police force.
I am disgusted by the learned Dr B’s behaviour; he is no hero and he is a zero.
Dear Nicholas,
I admire your collection of incidents in the west on which you rely to compare peoples of our land with the peoples of Europe, US etc.
As human beings, our intellect is far superior to that of the white man. Our cultural, social, intellectual and linguistic development is miles ahead of western civilisation.
To say “Oh, the British Police killed several rioters and therefore the killing of one innocent demonstrator by the Sl Police,is OK and should not be condemned” is an insult to our very being.
There can be millions of killings in the west but in our pure land, populated by human beings of a higher variety, there shouldn’t be any.
