The Major General de Silva will be confined to the shores of our Nation as he is wanted by Courts in many parts of the World to face charges of war crimes.
Poor choice of Chief of Staff.
Madam Grace Marampitiya, Has Major General de Silva committed any crime in those countries? Who gave those countries the authority to do so? UNder the co-sponsored resolution 30/1 passed in Geneva under the patronage of Hon. Mangala Saraweera.
This appointment is poor choice.
We gonna get roasted in the forthcoming UN sessions in March 2019.
Back to square 1 perhaps with economic sanctions!
Dear Mr. Fierry Fernando, Please tell me are we in Squre 100 now? We are still in par below squre .1 (with or without sanctions). Tel me what economic progress we are having after January 9? Let UN session in March 2019 raoast us or even BBQ for that matter. We all know the caliber of backbone less leaders we have now. Can any one defend Sri Lanka in front of foreigners? They always say ‘api jathiyantharaya dina gatha’. We won the hear and minds of foreigners!! But has the government won the hart and minds for poor folks who are trying to earn their daily bread? Remember Mr. Fernando; Saudi leaders, Philippine leaders, Burma leaders, Israeli leaders wont get roasted in UN sessions in March 2019.
Mr Amarakoon,
Your comments appreciated.
Unfortunately, the Sinhala Buddhist leadership of this country has been unable to produce any leader who can stand up to foreign powers since 1948.
Now, you see, the so-called Brave R Family is proposing a Yankee Citizen as its next Presidential candidate. What a shame.
Saudi, Philippines, Burma, Israeli all have leaders with solid ba**s (exception Burma which has a strong lady).
Therefore, our Sinhala Buddhist Nation will continue to be a beggar nation living on the morsels which fall off western tables.
We will be better off if ex-NP CM, Wiggy, becomes president. He has demonstrated capability to stand up to anyone.
