Where is SLPP economic whizz, Bandula Gunaya?
Where is the ex- CB Chief, Anil Nivaard Kabaragoya?
Why can’t they dive in and save the Rupee?
Mr Fiery Fernando. You cannot save the Rupee when 95% are over employed. When those cram the book and passed the exam brainless idiots come out from the Sri Lanken universities they are give a table and a chair in a government office with a bogus title like engineer, deputy manager , chief executive, These are junior clarks doing a job a 14 year girls do in foreign countries. So to pay these jack ass government have to print money or borrow money, . So this why the Rupee goes down., Of course they are few Sri Lanken graduates work abroad sweeping rods and cleaning toilets which they can do better. Only problem they want do this in Sri Lanka to stop the Rupee going down.
Ranjith,
Fully agree with you.
But, tell me, what can we do with these people? In Sri Lanka, everything is ‘FREE’. Education, Health Care, subsidised Food, transport, petrol.
We are a Nation of Scroungers; we live on not on our effort but other people’s effort.
But Ranjith, what can we do? Elected Politicians cannot downsize the public service; they will be defeated next time at elections, badly.
The former Ranil W Government said we are a world class middle income country. Okay, good, but has anyone talked about becoming efficient? No!
I think we Sri Lankans are LAZY and we prefer to live on the sweat of others while having a good time.
Mr Fiery Fernando . This is what to do. You must have a leader who will say ” I want give you anything but a honest unbiased justice system. He should work free but if he is paid he should not get more than Rs30000.00
a month. He should travel by public transport so that he know the difficulties other people under go. Above all he no body should be above the law.
Our education system is obsolete and does not fit foe the purpose.
We should not take foreign hand outs which leads to corruptions So the list goes on.
Fiery and Ranjith,
Yes, we do need a radical change.
Some steps I would suggest:
1. Abolish Parliament, Provincial and Local Government.
2. Disband the Public Service.
3. Abolish Executive President.
4. Create 5 Federal States each with own Parliament.
5. Create Executive Prime Minister and Governing Council for whole country with Provincial Council Leaders.
Lalitha Amarakoon . This country is so corrupted, I don’t think they can come out of it. It does not matter weather Ranil, Mahinda or Sirisena come to power it will be the same. It is a failed state. Hiding behind Buddhism all they do is playing on the ignorance of the people.
