STF recovers 85kgs of heroin from Biyagama

The Police Special Task Force (STF) seized 85 kilos of heroin in a special raid carried out in Biyagama, the Police said today.
Two suspects, a three-wheeler and a hybrid car were also taken into custody.

I looked up the global Heroin prices and the highest that was quoted is something around 60000 dollars and in SL rupees this amounts to nearly 63,000,000 billion rupees.
I find it strange that this was found with a guy from Biyagama having a three wheeler and a hybrid car.
Sri Lanaka has been famous as a hub for processing narcotics and this was reported in some of The UN reports I browsed in the early 60’s where narcotic trade routes had been mapped.
In spite of the Government efforts to move contraband stuff in and out of sri Lanka they have failed to identify the key players involved specially considering that the ministers members of parliament are involved in the raket.
Recently musch publicity had been given to the Prime Ministers office granting permits. Unfortunately that investigation drew a blank after a Pakistani was named as one of the coutieres.
So there maybe many more Pakistanis may be imvolved by virtue of there close asociation with the Afgans who have been the tradinional retailers of cocoine in Sri Lanka.
I don’t believe this news. This could be a result of conspiracy against Sri Lankan good name and reputation in the world.
We are going to be the hub of knowledge, aviation, navigation and many many hubs in the world.
