So, If Maithripala jumping from one party to the other is an indication of corruption, nepotism and all the ills of MR’s government, what should we make of his counterpart doing the same the other way?
Bcs he has no policy of his own he has swtched on to the other side
Good on you Tissa. Get the rest of UNP. Show the Queen of deceit and Mitree that there are people who love the country. Remember we live in peace with out fear of terrorism
Hello Indra,
Are you trying to tell Rajapaske family regime is not currupted. Rajapaske has huge money and he is buying people.
He doubled foreign debt rate during 5 year period.
However, Maithreepala will report a clear victory in this time.
How many voters come with Tisaa ? May be 200 ?
Indra, it smacks of tit-for-tat actions by UPFA. I hope Hon MR does not place too high a trust in TA as he still has connections with UNP, after all these years. He can jump back the other way again. We don’t know what bag of goodies TA has been promised by MR.
I hope TA is patriotic and work to continue to build our economy by joining with MR, and to oppose imperial West interference in our internal affairs to make SL their small satellite to build their military bases.
If Pissu Attanayaka is assigned health Ministry, what about the old SLFP deputy ministers and MPs.
Rajapaske can do any harm for the country and SLFP in sake of his family power.
Basnayaka,
I am not trying to tell, I told. Read it mate!
I am still waiting to see your reply to how the Sri Lanka has been moved 6 places towards less corrupted end on the world league and better Fitch reting under Rajapaksha, if you need a reminder.
Basna yaka, I am not trying to tell. I have posted. Read it mate.
I am still waiting for your reply to my previous post elsewhere asking how SL managed to rise six places towards the less corrupted end in the world corruption league and got better Fitch rating under MR’s presidency.
Sri Lanka recorded an exhilarating gross domestic product (GDP) growth rate of 8 percent in the years 2009-2010 and 2010-2011, exhibiting the powers of its new found freedom, soon after the end of the three-decade long cold war, which ended in 2009.
Sri Lanka’s GDP growth rate in 2013 was 7.3 percent and 6.3 percent in 2012. Sri Lanka’s aim is to achieve economic growth of 8 percent in the year 2014 and this rate of growth is the highest in Asia.
Basnayaka, what newspapers do you read? Heven’t you seen the above?
Tissa Attanayake was a glorious peon in the UNP as Secretary. He has been a supreme bootlicker of the Boss for years, following the footsteps of his Boss who is a supreme bootlicker of past Presidents, JRJ and Ranasinghe P.
Tissa Attanayake was a manipulator within the hierarchy of the UNP; the recent promotion of Sajith P is a case in point.
The departure of Tissa Attanayake from the UNP is beneficial to the party.
Manipulators and bootlickers are extremely damaging to any organisation including political parties. These manipulators and bootlickers can never be true leaders.
True leaders require persistent effort and honest intentions. Examples are Harin Fernando’s performance in the recent PC elections in Uva and the late Ranasinghe P’s efforts in gaining leadership of the UNP through persistent and honest effort over a number of years. The late Ranasinghe P’s leadership became a bit pear shaped, unfortunately, in the later years of his office.
The departure of Tissa Attanayake will certainly impact on Sajith P’s position in the UNP. Sajith P’s claim for leadership as the son of Late Ranasinhe P will not help. Sajith P is yet to demonstrate capability as a true leader similar to what Harin F demonstrated recently in the Uva PC elections.
