Two police officers arrested over Katunayaka clash

Two police officers were arrested by the CID in connection with the clash at the Katunayaka Free Trade Zone on May 30, Police told Ada Derana. Police used teargas to disperse protesters in Katunayake who had been protesting against the proposed pension scheme for the private sector workers.
Afterwards the SLFP Central Committee decided to temporarily suspend the proposed Private Sector Pension scheme.

The source of this violence is JVP. So they should be punished with a BAN forever on them. Lessons Learnt From JVP & enough is enough..! No need to follow irrelevant things..!
Who ever start something like this police should have the discipline not to behave in the manner they did in this incident. Good if someone can figure out the people real responsible and who leads this… just punishing some lower ranked officers wont do any good..
SL police actions were same under all GOSLs in the past. There’re no SAINTS who go to work as policemen.!
JVP actions also were same as this, betraying &misleading the people. There’re no saints in JVP also.!
Why people take a risk to follow JVPs animal instincts instead of using decent ways to solve a problem..?
