UNP advisory committee to meet over leadership issue

A special advisory committee meeting of the United National Party (UNP) is to be held today (05). The meeting, being held after several months, will prove significant for the UNP, a senior Parliamentarian of the party says.
Presided by party leader Ranil Wickramasinghe, the meeting is scheduled to commence at 11am at Sirikotha party headquarters and will be attended by both Deputy Leaders of the UNP, the General Secretary, National Organizer and Chairman of the party.
Especially the present leadership crisis of the United National Party will be discussed ‘extensively’ at today’s meeting, the senior MP said.
