Wikileaks confirms that US led the international op. against Lanka – Wimal

This is what we said from the start, Construction and Housing Ministers Wimal Weerawansa told Ada Derana regarding the Wikileaks documents on Sri Lanka. He added that this substantiates the fact that it was the US that led the International operation against Sri Lanka. They wanted to isolate us internationally, Wimal claimed.
Weerawansa went on to state that because Sri Lanka did not follow US orders, they wanted to defeat the government and appoint those in favour with them. This confirms what we’ve been trying to say from the beginning, he reiterated.
When contacted the Spokesman for the Sri Lankan External Affairs Ministry Bandula Jayasekara said that he ‘cannot comment’ on the matter.

I wish to draw Hon WW’s attention to an article by Julian Borger in the Guardian UK. According to a leaked US cable (Wikileaks?) American Diplomats including the US envoy Patricia Butenis beleive that the Sri Lankan President and the former Commander, General Foseka, were largely responsible for the civillian massacre that took place towards the end the war.
The point I wish to make here is that it is often said General Fonseka is a favourite of the US and the US having funded his election campaign and the US was in favour of his ascendency to the contry’s leadership.
These stories are rubbish; they are concoctions by the Governing group to discredit the opposition candidate and challenger, Gen SF.
Gen SF was responsible for the conduct of the “War” and hence, stands accused of HR violations, just as anyone else.
Among the losers in this whole episode are leaders like Hon RW who at the end of the war, quickly rushed to dump their policies realated to minority issues.
Great to see leaders of the stature of CBK who remain calm and not driven by the “post-war” psyche.

This was simply a personal opinion of an individual. Similarly I have my opinion that Bush and Blair were war criminals re Iraq and Afganisthan (and is in fact true).
US knew SF will not come to power and they knew that SF is a week charactre in politics and could be manipulated as per US’s wishes. Therefore they tried to fish SF during his US visit by paying him bribes (US $500K were found in SF’s son-in-law’s bank vault) to work against MR. This way they could get both SF and MR out of the SL picture and put Sri Lanka back into dark ages so US and the west can control SL as they wish. It didn’t happen thanks to strong president of Sri Lanka, and now US is running around with it’s tail in fire to hide their poo on the rock.
Hilary said they will punish wikileaks, Boo ! what are they afraid of if they are so honest and truthful as they always pretend?
How come individuals are at risk when secrets against states are leaked out. Even if it did then it must be OK because those who worked against legitimate states don’t have to be protected anyway.
I believe this man DC is a Tamil nationalist living in UK supporting the LTTE. He fled to UK safety seeking bogus ‘asylum’, not from the army, but from LTTE to avoid conscription. He has now become a siren of the LTTE diaspora.
Articles written by a nonentity in a UK newspaper does not amount to irrefutable evidence of so-called ‘massacre’ of Tamil hostages. Diaspora LTTE money pays for such bogus articles just as it paid for bogus human rights abuse by the SL army in Channel 4 documentary. War crimes and massacre of Tamil hostages were carried out by LTTE goons on VP orders to prevent the Tamil hostages fleeing his evil clutches to the freedom and safetly of SL army side, who welcomed them and provided them shelter, safety, food and healthcare. The scenes of extra judicial killings show in that Channel 4 documentary has been proven to be fake but they still repeat it, funded by LTTE. The diaspora Tamil LTTE keep on vomitting this false propaganda hoping by repeating such falsehood the world may believe it.
Ofcourse, for DC and fellow Tamil nationalists, CBK is a great leader and Ranil is a great PM because they conceded all the LTTE demands for autonomy. I wonder how many millions of US dollars were paid as bribes to these individuals to betray their motherland? But they did not win the day ultimately because CBK and Ranil acted contrary to the Constitution and people rejected them in subsequent elections for their treachery. I hope one day justice will prevail and they will pay the price for high treason.
Wikileaks have hugely embarrassed USA and Britain for revealing their hypocrisy in supporting LTTE terrorism for vested interests. It is now clearly established that US and British leaders are guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity. However, UN is powerless to take action against them because UNSG is in the pocket of USA. On the otherhand, UNSG is picking on MR of SL and set-up a panel to advise him on human rights abuse and war crimes of SL army and its leaders, which were all unfounded LTTE propaganda to avenge the total ellimination of terrorist LTTE. Wikkileaks have revealed for the world to see the secret communications of top leaders of USA and Britain of their duplicity and hypocrisy, and has proven that Iraq invasion was unjust, the apprehension and killing of Saddam Hussein was on the orders of USA to capture power in Iraq for vested interests. It is the people of Iraq that are now suffering. But does the imperial West care?
